The
Board of Works and Safety met on the 18th day of October at City Hall at 12:30
p.m. Members present: Mr. Shepherd, Mr. Roderick and Ms. Sharon
Negele.
APPROVAL
OF MINUTES
Minutes
of the regular session held on October 4, 2011 was approved as prepared on a
motion by Mr. Roderick, seconded by Mr. Shepherd.
DEPARTMENT HEADS
Mr. Jean reported that they
were close to completing the installation of the playground equipment. Mr. Bass reported that they are working on
getting the speed limit signs up.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Mr.
Shepherd presented the Paws N’ Claws contract.
Mr. Roderick made a motion to accept the contract and Mr. Shepherd
seconded.
CLAIMS
Claims
dated on October 4, 2011 for $383,614.68, as shown by the Claims and Allowance
docket, were presented to the board. Mr.
Roderick made a motion to pay the claims, seconded by Mr. Shepherd.
MISCELLEOUS
Ms.
Negele informed the board of the Press Conference that would be occurring
on 25th at St. Vincent
Hospital with the Lt. Governor Skillman regarding the Fiber Optic Pipeline.
ADJOURNMENT
There
being no further business to be brought before the board; Mr. Roderick, made a motion to adjourn and Mr.
Shepherd seconded the motion.
