SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING

CITY OF ATTICA

SEPTEMBER 17, 2002

 

 

The Common Council for the City of Attica met for a special meeting on the 17th day of September 2002 at the hour of 6:30 p.m. at city hall.  Those present:  Mr. Larry Grant, Mrs. Valarie Maus, Mrs. Kay Gustus, Mr. Tom O’Connor, and Mr. Deon Swift.  Absent:  Mr. Bill Craft and Mr. Curt Phelps.

 

Members of the council for the City of Attica met in a special meeting to adopt the Budget for 2003.  Mrs. Gustus made a motion to bring to the table the Budget for 2003 and read for the third and final time, seconded by Mrs. Maus.  All ayes.  Mr. O’Connor read:  ORDINANCE FOR APPROPRIATIONS AND TAX RATES #11.  Be it ordained by the City of Attica, Indiana:  That for the expenses of the City government and its institutions for the year ending December 31, 2003 the sums of money shown on Budget Form 4-A are hereby appropriated and ordered set apart out of the several funds herein named and for the purposes herein specified, subject to the laws governing the same.  Such sums herein appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures authorized to be made during the year, unless otherwise expressly stipulated and provided for by law.  In addition for the purpose of raising revenue to meet the necessary expense of city government, tax rates are shown on Budget Form 4-B and included herein.  Two (2) copies of Budget Forms 4-A and 4-B for all funds and departments are made a part of the budget report and submitted herewith.

 

Mrs. Gustus made a motion to accept and adopt Ordinance #11, 2002, seconded by Mr. Grant.  Roll was called; three (3) ayes, zero (0) nays.  Motion carried.

 

This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Common Council and Mayor or Fire Protection District board.  Adopted by the following vote on September 17, 2002.

 

ADJOURNMENT

There being no further business to come before the council, Mrs. Gustus made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Mrs. Maus.
