ATTICA,
INDIANA
The
Common Council for the City of Attica met on the 29th day of August
2001 at the hour of 7 p.m. at city hall.
Those present: Mrs. Kay Gustus,
Mrs. Valarie Maus, Mr. Curt Phelps, Mr. Larry Grant, Mr. Tom O'Connor, Mr. Deon
Swift, and Mrs. Nancy Mitchell.
Absent: Mr. Bill Craft.
This
was a public meeting opened to all citizens who would have input toward the
water project on the north end. Several
people present commented on the water pressure problems they've experience for
many years and hope that these are going to be solved.
Mr.
Greg Beumer, Beumer & Associates, thanked everyone for being present. He noted that our grant application would be
submitted on September 7. Mr. Beumer
requested comments from all those present and recorded them. He said he had recorded comments from
approximately thirty-four residents. He
also said that the Department of Commerce looks upon this favorably-trying to
take the public hearing to the people instead of asking them to come to the
meeting. Mr. Beumer thanked Mr. Bob
Smith, Director of Public Works, on the impressive documentation he did by
video taping all areas involved.
Mayor
Swift asked if there were any more comments.
There being none, he closed the meeting.
