OF WORKS & SAFETY

16, 2004
The
Board of Works and Safety met on the 16th day of March at City hall
at 5:30 p.m. Members present: Mr. Duane
Roderick, Mrs. Kay Gustus, Mr. Deon Swift, Mr. O’Connor and Mrs. Sharon Negele.
APPROVAL
OF MINUTES
Minutes
of the regular session held on March 2, 2004 were approved as prepared on a
motion by Mr. Roderick, seconded by Mrs. Gustus.
DEPARTMENT
HEADS
Mr.
Snoeberger has contacted an auctioneer regarding the sale of equipment no
longer used and other discarded items. He is looking at a date near the end of
April. A minimum bid will be placed on the old police car.
The
department has been tagging vehicles and has towed four cars.
MISCELLANEOUS
BUSINESS
Ms.
Negele explained that the current phone equipment is 2 separate systems
connected via a trunk. Only one is covered on our maintenance agreement. She
has received a quote from Avaya to merge the 2 old systems into 1. She will
continue to research this issue and report back to the board when she has a
final suggestion on changes to be made.
CLAIMS
Claims
in the amount of $74,573.39 on the claims and allowance docket were presented
to the board. Mrs. Gustus made a motion
to pay the claims, seconded by Mr. Roderick.
ADJOURNMENT
There
being no further business to be brought before the board, Mr. Roderick made a
motion to adjourn, seconded by Mrs. Gustus.
