OF WORKS & SAFETY
February
16, 2010
The
Board of Works and Safety met on the 16th day in February at City Hall at 4:30
p.m. Members present: Mr. Shepherd, Mr. Huckleberry, Mr. Roderick and
Ms. Sharon Negele.
APPROVAL
OF MINUTES
Minutes
of the regular session held on February 2, 2010 was approved as prepared on a
motion by Mr. Huckleberry, seconded by Mr. Roderick.
DEPARTMENT
HEADS
Mr. Jean reported that his
crew was busy filling potholes and removing snow from downtown. Additionally, there are chain problems at the
sewage plant that they are getting estimates for and the Air Stripper was up
and running but have encountered some
problems which will hopefully be resolved soon.
Mr. Snoeberger reported that the car break-ins has been solved resulting
in property being recovered.
Mr. O’Farrell reported that
he is still waiting on a few of the loose items orders for the new tanker and
that he is just a couple of people away on trained drivers to have the minimum
for operation. He also will be in
contact with the Rotary in determining if they can assist on the disposal of
the old tankers.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Ms. Negele announced that the
new copiers have been delivered for both the Police Department and the
Clerk/Treasurers office.
NEW BUSINESS
Ms.
Negele presented the advertisement that was placed in the paper for the sale of
the two trucks located at the garage and explained that the sealed bids would
be opened on March 2nd.
CLAIMS
Claims
dated on February 16th 2010 for $77,345.92 as shown by the
Claims and Allowance docket, was presented to the board. Mr. Huckleberry made a motion to pay the
claims, seconded by Mr. Roderick.
ADJOURNMENT
There
being no further business to be brought before the board; Mr. Huckleberry made a motion to adjourn and Mr. Roderick
seconded the motion.
