OF WORKS & SAFETY

23, 2006
The
Board of Works and Safety met on the 23rd day of March at City Hall at 4:15
p.m. Members present: Mr. Deon Swift,
Mr. David Huckleberry, and Ms. Sharon Negele.
APPROVAL
OF MINUTES
Minutes
of the regular session held on March 7th, 2006 were approved as prepared on a
motion by Mr. Huckleberry, seconded by Mr. Swift.
DEPARTMENT
HEADS
Ms.
Jordan reported that she is in the process of investigating several dilapidated
sheds that may require tear down or repairs.
She also inspected the house at 208 West St., which recently caught
fire. She believes the property will have to be condemned.
CLAIMS
Claims
in the amount of $99,554.58 as shown by the Claims and Allowance docket, were
presented to the board. Mr. Huckleberry
made a motion to pay the claims, seconded by Mr. Swift.
MISCELLANEOUS
BUSINESS
Mr.
Grant set the Area Planning Commission meeting for April 4th at
6:00p.m. to discuss the request for a zoning change on the Shawnee property.
ADJOURNMENT
There
being no further business to be brought before the board; Mr. Huckleberry made
a motion to adjourn and Mr. Swift seconded the
Motion.
