OF WORKS & SAFETY
January
17, 2006
The
Board of Works and Safety met on the 17th day of January at City Hall at 5:30
p.m. Members present: Mr. Deon Swift,
Mr. David Huckleberry, Ms. Sharon Negele.
APPROVAL
OF MINUTES
Minutes
of the regular session held on January 5, 2006 were approved as prepared on a
motion by Mr. Huckleberry, seconded by Mr. Swift, all ayes.
DEPARTMENT
HEADS
Mr.
O’Farrell gave an explanation of the NIMS certification process to Mr.
Jean. He also gave the results of the
Attica Fire Fighters elections. Mr. Eric Dismore will
be the 1st Deputy Chief and Mr. Mike Bossaer
will be the 2nd Deputy Chief.
Ms.
Jordan announced that a certified notice for a hearing has been sent to E. Pattengale. The
condition of the Cooper property is considered a police matter due to the trash
being the only issue at this time. She
also reported that the G. Moody house is considered an eyesore but is more of a
trash issue.
CLAIMS
Claims
in the amount of $116,809.44 as shown by the Claims and Allowance docket, were
presented to the board. Mr. Huckleberry
made a motion to pay the claims, seconded by Mr. Swift, all ayes.
ADJOURNMENT
There
being no further business to be brought before the board; Mr. Huckleberry made
a motion to adjourn and Mr. Swift seconded the motion, all ayes.
