The
Board of Works and Safety met on the 5th day of January at City Hall at 5:30
p.m. Members present: Mr. Deon Swift,
Mr. David Huckleberry, Ms. Sharon Negele and Mr. Tom O’Connor.
APPROVAL
OF MINUTES
Minutes
of the regular session held on December 20, 2005 were approved as prepared on a
motion by Mr. Huckleberry, seconded by Mr. Swift, all ayes.
DEPARTMENT
HEADS
Mr.
O’Connor asked if the Order from the Building Commissioner for the removal of
the Hoffa property where Mr. Butler resided should be amended. Mr. Huckleberry made a motion not to amend
the Order and Mr. Swift seconded the motion, all ayes. Mr. Huckleberry made a motion authorizing Mr.
O’Connor to seek bids for demolition.
Mr. Swift seconded the motion, all ayes.
Ms. Jordan will send a notice for a hearing to E. Pattengale
to determine if the original order needs to be modified.
Ms.
Jordan reported that the cleanup of the Cooper property is still pending.
CLAIMS
Claims
in the amount of $162,127.89 as shown by the Claims and Allowance docket, were
presented to the board. Mr. Huckleberry
made a motion to pay the claims, seconded by Mr. Swift, all ayes.
ADJOURNMENT
There
being no further business to be brought before the board; Mr. Huckleberry made
a motion to adjourn and Mr. Swift seconded the motion, all ayes.
