BOARD OF WORKS & SAFETY

December 20, 2005

The Board of Works and Safety met on the 20th day of December at City Hall at 5:30 p.m. Members present: Mr. Deon Swift, Mr. Roderick, Mr. David Huckleberry and Ms. Sharon Negele.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Minutes of the regular session held on December 6, 2005 were approved as prepared on a motion by Mr. Huckleberry, seconded by Mr. Roderick, all ayes.

DEPARTMENT HEADS

Ms. Jordan reported that the Booth Trailer Court clean up is complete. Road grading should begin soon. Demolition of the Rushin property is almost finished. The Hoffa property, where Mr. Butler resided, will soon be given a deadline for action. She also reported that Mr. Mike Saylor was given an extension for completion of a shed. He has until April 30^th.

NEW BUSINESS

Mr. Swift presented the annual Fire Protection contracts for Shawnee, Davis and Logan. Mr. Roderick made a motion to accept the Fire Contracts and Mr. Huckleberry seconded the motion, all ayes.

CLAIMS

Claims in the amount of $607,939.93 as shown by the Claims and Allowance docket, were presented to the board. Mr. Huckleberry made a motion to pay the claims, seconded by Mr. Roderick, all ayes.

ADJOURNMENT

There being no further business to be brought before the board; Mr. Roderick made a motion to adjourn and Mr. Huckleberry seconded the motion, all ayes.
