OF WORKS & SAFETY
April
19, 2005
The
Board of Works and Safety met on the 19th day of April at City hall at 5:30
p.m. Members present: Mr. Deon Swift,
Mr. Roderick, Mrs. Gustus, Mr. O’Conner and Ms. Sharon Negele.
APPROVAL
OF MINUTES
Minutes
of the regular session held on April 5, 2005 were approved as prepared on a
motion by Mr. Roderick, seconded by Mrs. Gustus, all ayes.
DEPARTMENT
HEADS
Mr.
Jean reported several properties require mowing. Some are repeat properties
from last year. He expressed concern
regarding the volume of properties and the amount of man-hours required to
maintain the properties. Mr. Swift
stated that the city is reimbursed through property tax distribution on
properties with liens.
Mr.
Snoeberger informed the board that monies from theDeferral/Diversion funds will be used to purchase new
software and hardware for the Police Department.
Mr.
O’Farrell reported the repair of a broken spring on one of the Fire station’s overhead doors.
According
to Ms.
CLAIMS
Claims
in the amount of $65,411.18 as shown by the claims and allowance docket, were
presented to the board. Mrs. Gustus made
a motion to pay the claims, seconded by Mr. Roderick, all ayes.
ADJOURNMENT
There
being no further business to be brought before the board; Mr. Roderick made a
motion to adjourn and Mrs. Gustus seconded the motion, all ayes.
