BOARD OF WORKS & SAFETY
June 1, 2004
The Board of Works and Safety met on the 1st day of June at City hall at 5:30 p.m. Members present: Mrs. Kay Gustus, Mr. Deon Swift, Mr. Duane Roderick, Mr. Tom O’Connor, and Ms. Sharon Negele.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Minutes of the regular session held on May 18th, 2004 were approved as prepared on a motion by Mrs. Gustus, seconded by Mr. Roderick.
CITIZENS PETITIONS
A hearing was held to determine the next course of action on the property at 205 N. Perry (NAPA). In January, the owner, Mr. Nunn was ordered to repair the structure or have it removed. Mr. Nunn is now being given 30 days to act on the initial order.
DEPARTMENT HEADS
Mr. Snoeberger reported that the Daihatsu utility vehicles are in. Repair and tune- ups will need to be done. The ATVs have also arrived. The ordinance patrol paid off with the discovery of a Meth Lab.
CLAIMS
Claims in the amount of 135,711.43 as shown by the claims and allowance docket, were presented to the board. Mrs. Gustus made a motion to pay the claims, seconded by Mr. Roderick.
MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS
Larry Sible has passed the state-mandated spray test for mosquito control.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to be brought before the board, Mr. Roderick made a motion to adjourn. Mrs. Gustus seconded the motion.
