CITY OF ATTICA
BOARD OF WORKS & SAFETY
November 4, 2003

The Board of Works and Safety met on the 4th day of November, 2003 at city hall at 5:30 p.m. Members present: Mr. Duane Roderick, Mrs. Kay Gustus, Mr. Deon Swift, Mr. O'Connor and Mrs. Sharon Negele.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Minutes of the regular session held on October 21,2003 were approved as prepared on a motion by Mrs. Gustus, seconded by Mr. Roderick.

DEPARTMENT HEADS
Mr. Jean, Director of Public Works, was not present but Mr. Swift reported that the pool liner is in and pool restoration is complete. Mr. O'Farrell voiced some concerns about.parking on Baxter Street. He stated that there is limited acces~for fire trucks. He will bring it to the City Council for further discussion.

NEW BUSINESS
CLAIMS
Claims in the amount of $6,526.25 as shown by the claims and allowance docket, were presented to the board. Mrs. Gustus made a motion to pay the claims, seconded by Mr. Roderick.

MISC BUSINESS
Mrs. Gustus told the Board that she had received several complaints regarding the absence of painted lines at the intersection of Peny and 41. Mr. Jean has informed the state several times and nothing has been done
about it.

ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to be brought before the board, Mrs. Gustus made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Mr. Roderick.
