CITY OF ATTICA

BOARD OF WORKS AND SAFETY

MARCH 19, 2002

 

 

The Board of Works and Safety met on the 19th day of March 2002 at city hall at 5:30 p.m.  Members present:  Mrs. Kay Gustus, Mr. Duane Roderick, Mr. Deon Swift, and Mrs. Nancy Mitchell.  Absent:  Mr. Tom O’Connor.

 

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Minutes of the regular session held on March 5, 2002 were approved as prepared on a motion by Mrs. Gustus, seconded by Mr. Roderick.  All ayes.

 

DEPARTMENT HEADS

Police Chief Snoeberger reported that junk cars within the city limits and notices were going to be addressed in the next few weeks.

 

Discussion was held among the board members regarding burned out houses and other buildings in the city and the progress that was being made.

 

CLAIMS

Claims in the amount of $44,335.20 as shown by the claims and allowance docket, were presented to the board.  Mrs. Gustus made a motion to pay the claims, seconded by Mr. Roderick.  All ayes.

 

MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS

Mayor Swift informed the board that the city had received an extension from IDEM for the Combined Sewer Overflow’s.

 

ADJOURNMENT

There being no further business to be brought before the board, Mrs. Gustus made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Mr. Roderick.  All ayes.
