CITY OF ATTICA
BOARD OF WORKS AND SAFETY
NOVEMBER 5, 2002
The Board of Works and Safety met on the 5th day
of November 2002 at city hall at 5:30 p.m.
Members present: Mr. Duane
Roderick, Mr. Tom O’Connor, Mr. Deon Swift, and Mrs. Nancy Mitchell. Absent:
Mrs. Kay Gustus.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Minutes of the regular session held on October 15, 2002 were
approved as prepared on a motion by Mr. Roderick, seconded by Mr. Swift.
DEPARTMENT HEADS
Police Chief Gene Snoeberger reported his department had
received a new laptop from the Department of Justice. The laptops are rebuilt and made available to any police
department that may need one.
NEW BUSINESS
Mr. Larry Grant said there were still abandoned vehicles
remaining on the Dicken’s property.
Chief Snoeberger said there was a ruling made in court if Mr. Dicken
moved the vehicles the fine would be lesser than if he didn’t at all. The insurance company has not finalized
anything on the house, but he’s hoping it will come down in the near
future. Mr. O’Connor said he would
follow up through the court system.
CLAIMS
Claims, in the amount of $118,330.50 as shown by the claims
and allowance docket, were presented to the board. Mr. Roderick made a motion to pay the claims, seconded by Mr.
Swift.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to be brought before the
board, Mr. Roderick made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Mr. Swift.
