OF WORKS AND SAFETY

The
Board of Works and Safety of the City of Attica met on the 17th day
of July 2001 at city hall at 5:30 p.m.
Members present: Mrs. Kay
Gustus, Mr. Deon Swift. Absent: Mr. Tom O'Connor and Mrs. Nancy Mitchell.
APPROVAL
OF MINUTES
Minutes
of the regular session held on July 2, 2001 were approved as prepared on a
motion by Mrs. Gustus, seconded by Mr. Swift.
DEPARTMENT
HEADS
Mr.
Robert Smith, Director of Public Works, reported he now has a meter that fits
on a fire hydrant that measures the exact amount of water used from the
hydrant. This meter was given to the
city at no charge.
Mayor
Swift reported that there would be a meeting in Indianapolis on August 6 with
State Officials about the Combined Sewer Overflow.
CLAIMS
Claims,
in the amount of $86,316.85 as shown by the claims and allowance docket, were
allowed and ordered paid on a motion by Mrs. Gustus, seconded by Mr. Swift.
ADJOURNMENT
There
being no further business to be brought before the board, the motion to adjourn
was made by Mrs. Gustus, seconded by Mr. Swift.
