BOARD OF WORKS AND SAFETY
MAY 15, 2001
The Board of Works and Safety of the City of Attica met on the 15th day of May 2001 at city hall at 5:30 p.m. Members present: Mr. Roger Scheurich, Mrs. Kay Gustus, Mr. Deon Swift, and Mrs. Nancy Beck. Absent: Mr. Tom O’Connor.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Minutes of the regular session held on May 1, 2001 were approved as prepared on a motion by Mrs. Gustus, seconded by Mr. Scheurich. All ayes.
NEW BUSINESS
Mayor Swift accepted with regret Mr. Scheurich’s resignation from the board, effective July 1, 2001.
DEPARTMENT HEADS
Police Chief Gene Snoeberger reported that he had been citing citizens for ordinance violations.
CLAIMS
Claims, in the amount of $53,297.48 as shown by the claims and allowance docket, were allowed and ordered paid on a motion by Mrs. Gustus, seconded by Mr. Scheurich. All ayes.
MISCELLANEOUS
Mr. Curt Phelps, of Wabash Valley Disposal, reported to the board that they were operating a trial run for a yard waste route every Monday morning from May to September in the city.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to be brought before the board, the motion to adjourn was made by Mrs. Gustus, seconded by Mr. Scheurich. All ayes.
