BOARD OF WORKS AND SAFETY

APRIL 17, 2001

The Board of Works and Safety of the City of Attica met on the 17^th day of April 2001 at city hall at 5:30 p.m. Members present: Mr. Roger Scheurich, Mrs. Kay Gustus, Mr. Deon Swift, Mr. Tom O'Connor, and Mrs. Nancy Beck.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Minutes of the regular session held on April 3, 2001 were approved as pre-pared on a motion by Mr. Scheurich, seconded by Mrs. Gustus. All ayes.

NEW BUSINESS

Councilman Larry Grant was present and reported concern of visibility of traffic at the corners of Main and Fifth Street. He said cars park so close to the corner it's difficult to seen on-coming traffic. Mayor Swift said there is an ordinance preventing such parking. Mr. Smith, Superintendent of Public Works, said he would see that the curbs are painted yellow accordingly.

OLD BUSINESS

Mr. Scheurich made a motion to pay Claim #362, in the amount of $6,558, to Crowe, Chizek and Company for the Water Rate Study done in February, seconded by Mrs. Gustus. All ayes.

CLAIMS

Claims in the amount of $77,580.77 as shown by the claims and allowance docket, were allowed and ordered paid on a motion by Mrs. Gustus, seconded by Mr. Scheurich. All ayes.

ADJOURNMENT

There being no further business to be brought before the board, the motion to adjourn was made by Mr. Scheurich, seconded by Mrs. Gustus. All ayes.
